I have been seeing this infomercial and wondering if anyone has seen it/tried it and has any input. It looks really good and the muscle confusion sounds plausable.

I am currently doing P90X - I am in week 10. It can be a very difficult program - both in the physical demands and the time commitment required. My wife and I are both doing it and are seeing very good results. I have uploaded a couple of pics in my profile from day 0 and day 60.
I have not been following the nutrition plan at all and am sure that the results would be better if I were. Not that I have been eating terribly bad the entire time, but I have been FAR from perfect.
As far as the muscle confusion goes, I was a bit skepticle until I started phase three. At the end of phase 1 I was still struggling with quite a few of the push-ups. Four weeks later when I did those same exercises again after having not done them for a while I was amazed by how many reps I could do. If you stick with it you will definitely see improvements in strength and stamina.

How much did you have to buy other then the DvDs? How much were the items that you had to buy? Roughly. I'm sure it varies from place to place. Do they take up a lot of storage space? How much room do you need to do the work-outs on the DvDs? Is there a beginner level? Or is this for experienced people that want to tone up and firm up?

How much did you have to buy other then the DvDs? - I bought an Iron Gym pull-up bar that I have not used once. I have been using resistance bands attached to a door frame. I bought the resistance bands from Amazon and they are about $10 each ( I only use one, same goes for my wife). I bought a yoga mat at Marshall's for about $10 and a yoga block from Amazon for about the same. I had some dumbbells already and bought some larger ones off of craigslist. My wife is using 3 - 15 lb dumbbells which can be bought at Walmart. In all, the equipment that I use probably cost less than $75 total.
Do they take up a lot of storage space? - Not really. They all stay out in my basement but if I put them away they would fit on the floor of a closet easily.
How much room do you need to do the work-outs on the DvDs? - My wife and I workout together in a small finished part of our basement. Seldom do we get in each others way. A couple of the videos require some space to move or jump but I know people that have done the entire program in their bedroom. Space really should not be an issue.
Is there a beginner level? Or is this for experienced people that want to tone up and firm up? - There is not a beginner level but you are shown different options for most of the exercises. Tony Horton is an excellent instructor/motivator and encourages you to do your best and forget the rest. When we started, my wife and I struggled with a lot of the exercises, but each time you do them you get better and see improvement. You can expect to be sore (possible VERY sore) after the first few workouts, but it does get better.

I think I'll stick with Jillan Micheal's 30 day shred for a bit more before investing $120 bucks for P90X. I still have a long way to go and seeing some of those moves I know I'll just be laying there floundering! hehe

Hey Hey!! I am an Independent Team Beachbody Coach, post op DS patient of almost 9 months and user of P90X, Brazil Butt Lift, Shakeology and the P90X Results & Recovery Drink.
