My 1st 5k

Saturday was my 1st 5k. I woke up with some stomach issues so I didn't get to warm up and only had about 5 minutes to stretch. I finished in 28:50 which was not where I wanted to be. I was hoping for around 27. I finished 29 overall of 150 and 2nd in my age group. I am very satisfied though knowing 9 months ago I was 350 pounds and wouldn't have been able to walk it in a full day. I also won a door prize for a $100 gift certificate to a local running store. I posted a few pics on my page if you want to check them out.

Great job Nate! Congrats on getting your first race under your belt. Don't worry my friend, the way you train, your times will progress quickly. Again, well done!

For the first your time is irrelevant. Awesome job and keep up the fantastic work! It takes a while to learn how to race and with your conditioning youir times will come down.
