Sunday Workouts
Ran a 5k for Autism today and pulled a 30:24 out of nowhere. I ended up 17 out of 35 in my division and 99/181 overall. I was just hoping to have beaten my time from my last 5k in December (33:48), which I totally did!! This is the second race that I've had a waaaay better time than I was expecting which has led me to question the accuracy of the course mapped out - I'm convinced they're short! My Nike + (which is usually pretty accurate to a .1 mile) had me at 2.86 miles at the finish.
Does anyone else think like this or do you guys just take your times, accept that you ran that fast (or slow) and get on with it?

I am so disappointed, (I know..ridiculous, but I seriously cried a bit) as this is my slowest pace time in over a month! I know it was bound to be, but Darn it, it is discouraging!
Here's the stats:
Distance: 10.46 with a 3% incline mile 5-6.
Time: 2:01:37
Pace: 11:37 avg.
MPH: 5.16 avg.
I was careful to suck down some electrolytes and a pure protein bar within 30 minutes of completing, so hopefully my legs will forgive me tomorrow.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
