Getting back into the swing of things

Woot!

I hiked 5.5 miles today up and down some STEEP valleys.

Why is this a big deal for me? I'm 9 days post op.

The first question I had for my doctor on my initial visit was "how soon after surgery can I run?". he told me 2 weeks and as pooped as I was feeling post surgery I had my doubts.

Today, not so much. The hike was hard and I'm a bit sore but I can't say I overdid it.

Phew! I'm relieved more than anything.

Here's to being the athlete I know I can be.

Glad your surgery went well and you were able to get in a hike!  Don't over do it though!

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Congrats!!

Dont worry, just take it easy and listen to your body. I was in the gym as soon as I could drive .
