I had the day off, so I started the morning with a glorious 8.5 mile run.  I had only planned for a 5 miler, but I felt so good that  my running partner and I kept going.

daughter's b-day, so had to hit the gym before work today for a quick workout.  25 minutes of core followed by 2500 meter swim (5 X 500) in around 53 minutes.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

Decided to take the dog for a bike ride...he was full of energy...rode with him for about a mile, then dropped him at home and went  for a nice quick paced (for me) 3 mile ride...dog is passed out...lol

Another 2.5 miles. I am a dope - my PR race is Sun, not Sat. Another rest day for me!

Went to the Wellness Center and jogged/walked again on the treadmill for 20 minutes, then spent about 25 minutes on the weight machines. Used a new squat machine today - ugh! I'm feelin' it.

w4d2 of c25k - went OK.  Last minute of second 5 minute interval - dicey but I kept going.  Everything feels fine.  No aches or pains.  Question though.  If I'm struggling with that second 5 minute interval will I be ready for week 5?  I plan to give it a go with the caveat that I can repeat week 4.

I think the main thing is to go at your own pace. I'm just getting started, but I need more than 90 seconds in between each 60 second jogging interval. My progress is going to be slow, but it will be progress! I still walk, bike, and swim, so I'll be okay. Running is just hard for me.

After a long run (10K) yesterday, I followed it today with a shorty. I was amazed that my pace "felt" fast and I was extremely comfortable with it. I finished 3 miles in 26 min. (about 8:40 pace). Considering I usually average 9:40 pace, today was very nice.
