Ok so I have had this lumbar disease for a while now, years actually, and it comes and goes with the pain. Well during this last flare up( the past week) my pcm tells me to STOP running at once. Dude she is so funny! Running is actually less painful for me than say swimming laps. I will keep running towards my goal of a half by Nov and fussing alot to get the army pt clinic to treat me. We just wont tell her, LOL. She gave me a shot today, so hopefully I will be running race on Saturday. SSSSHHHHHH!

Your secret is safe with me! LOL ! !

Which half are you aiming for? The AMICA?  Have you looked at the Tacoma Narrows Half Maraton on Aug. 7th?  That is the one I am now aiming for. Going to try an 10.5 to 12 mile run this weekend, and hopefully work up to 13 by the end of May to mid-June.

There's also a nice race in Port Angeles/Sequim in June! (5k, 10k, half, full).

Good luck with the PT!

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
