Sunday Workouts

Did my long training for the week, a good medium length brick.

31 miles on the bike in an hour and 52 minutes through some moderate hills (about 1,500 ft elevation gain), then a solid 10K run in light hills in 51:52, average pace (8:20) with negative splits.  walked about a half mile afterwards to cooldown.  it felt really good to get this one in, and i wasn't expecting to be able to complete the run with that pace (i was expecting more like 9 min miles).  i'll take it when i can get it :)
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

Happy Sunday, y'all!

As I said in my post below, I went to the Wellness Center today and had a really good workout. 20 minutes on the elliptical and treadmill, then 25 minutes in the weight room. I'm still a bit pooped two hours afterward, so I must have done some good!

I am off to Zumba in an hour or so. If the instructor I like is not there i will go for a run since my run yesterday left something to be desired!

Nice work Bill!!! You dont need any hill work for Orlando.... I would do some overgear work in the coming couple of weeks, in the event there is wind, but the roads at Disney are the SMOOTHEST thing u have ever ridden on, and there is maybe 1 or 2 little rollers on the bike, other than that, it's straight up "Hammer Time"....

there is a reason that i chose florida for my first 70.3... and that's definitely it.  unfortunately around my house i have only 3 choices for road training, 1) hills, 2) more hills, and 3) more hills than you really want.  i keep thinking that the more hills i do the easier the flat ones will be :)

too funny - my area is the same way with the hills.  I'm still trying to understand how I can run a loop from my house and yet its up hill the whole way?

5.6 trail run in 1:03.50 - same trail as tuesday but a slightly different route that covered the same distance - I shaved 40 seconds off my time!

8 mile run.  A nice easy run.  Need to call the chiro this week and get taped up.  Two weeks to the Philadelphia 10-mile Broad Street Run.  30,000 participants and they are sold out already.
