Riding my bike...Bugs in my mouth and bugs in my eyes!!

After work this evening I went to the most popular bike path in the area...It's called Dry Creek...It was a great ride.  The only problem was it was at sunset and the bugs were out.  Yeh, I know they are mostly protein and very few carbs...but how do I keep them out of my eyes and mouth...  I know the curved sunglasses should help...the sports style...but what about the mouth??  Thanks, Brian

let me know if you figure it out.
My favorite running path goes right along the creek and it's full of gnats.
I just hold my breath as I see a cloud of them coming and run through it.

Well, you might look a little funny but you could get one of those surgical-type masks that go over your mouth and nose. You can get them just about anywhere like a Wal-Mart or Meijer, etc. Some people use them this time of year because of their allergies. You could have fun with it and draw vampire teeth or a big tongue or something like that on it...

can't help you with stopping them, just try not to swallow them!  i also notice during my long rides that my arms are like flypaper for the little suckers if i'm wearing sunblock.  it's pretty gross, but what are ya going to do? :)
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

I could pull my shirt collar over my mouth.  The only problem is there are many young families and women with pull behind child seats-carrages.  If they saw a big guy coming toward them with a bandana or shirt over their mouth...they would freak out..."I'm being robbed!!" (a lot of homeless use the path too).  I think I'll go the route of the shirt collar...seems very pratical and people would know why I'm doing it.  Brian
