I want to stomp up and down, kick some things and break something.
I just got done with the ortho doc and she said no way for WildFlower.  She said the bone didn't show any sign of healing yet and she didn't see how I would be able to swim with it like it is.

So now I'm going to have to go into my 70.3 never having done anything longer than a sprint triathlon and a 1/2 marathon.  She also said no exercise that would jar the should until it starts to heal up.  Currently she said there was no signs that the bone had begun to heal.

Oh how I want to have a pitty fest right now.  If it wouldnt make me sick, I'd so be into a big tub of ice cream.

Scott,

I'm really sorry to hear that Wildflower's out of the question.  Having had to bail on two marathons due to injury, I know the frustration you're feeling.  It just plain sucks.  But, you've got to follow the doc's advice on giving the shoulder a chance to heal.  Pu**** and you'll just delay your recovery.

So, stick to screaming and leave the stomping up and down until after you complete that 70.3.

I'm missing a sprint triathlon this weekend., I'm going to miss WildFlower on the 2nd and probably the century ride I had scheduled for the 9th.

I'm just irritated.

Have you seen a sports medicine doc? They will often get you back to exercising faster than a regular doc.

Are you going to camp at Wildflower anyway? You've paid for it and that way you can at least experience some of the atmosphere.

I'm still struggling with my calf. I've decided I'm going to run for 5 min and walk for 1 no matter how good I feel. I don't think I'll get through the run any other way.

No, I'm going to take what little bit of refund they are going to give me and wait for next year.
I am having problems laying flat, it hurts the shoulder, so I can't imagine camping if I don't have to.
Sorry I'm not going to be there to cheer for you.

When is your next race?  it's soon isn't it?
I'd like to come down and watch/cheer for you.

Not exactly my home town, but close.  About half an hour away.

I was supposed to be racing in Sacramento that day, but that's a no go, so I will see if I can get down there.

I thought my race was in Santa Rosa, but it's in San Raefel. I'm glad I figured that out!

This water bottle has a container in it for gel. So you drink your water and suck down your gel at the same time. I know you gel and water so I thought of you as soon as I saw it.

I know it's not the same as being able to race, but it's free!
