I just got back from a nice and easy 3 miles that really loosened me up a bit.  Unfortunately it was on the most dangerous road with blind curves that I know of.  It just makes me have to pay attention too much.

How did you do today?

Ran 7.25 miles this morning with no joint pain.  Second day in a row.  Reminds me how great it is to run.  There were a lot of hills on this run (all uphill) but it was a really fun run.  I just love having spider tape applied to the by my chiropractor.  Already looking forward to next weekends long run.

Zumba class followed immediately by mat pilates. I ran yesterday for a short 2 miles but that was part of the bootcamp class that was 90 min long...was awesome.

I plan on doing more running this afternoon. I need to start building a base mileage. Any suggestions would be great...I can run 5k. Should I run daily? every other day? etc?

Have a great sunday all :)

great ride in the hills of N. Georgia this morning.  Did just over 51 miles in 3 hours and 3 minutes, total elevation gain was just over 2,500 ft.  legs are burning, but man it was fun.  here's the route if you are interested.....

ran the Hudson Valley 15k in Blooming Grove, NY.  Most say its one of the toughest 15k's out there, and I now know why - I couldn't believe some of the hills.  I did much better with new shoes that I think suit me much better (Asics Nimbus).  Was able to finish in 1 hour 40 minutes, running 10 minute 46 second miles, which is great for me given the monster hills.  The leg feels so much better than after my half last weekend, really enjoyed the run.

I'm on my way out the door to go to the gym for some weight work. I'm going to do cardio when I get home - a nice 35 minute walk outside. It's too nice out to use the treadmill!

Enjoyed a 5-mile run at conversational pace.  I'm happy to be rebuilding my base.

3 mile run....rolling hills with ONE FRICKEN STEEP HILL!!!  I am aiming for the day I can run all the way up the long steep hill...but I need to focus on my posture or my left knee suffers!  But it felt great, and just the right distance after yesterdays race.

Have a great Sunday you all!

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Did a spin class this morning with lots of time-trial type work.  Probably should have rested.  Oh well, I'll rest tomorrow.
