I woke myself up at 4:30 to get to the Y by 5:00 a.m. to do the strength training that I really do not like to do.  Got dressed in work out stuff and then. . . got back in bed.  Just could not face it.  (Scales had 2 pound gain that was not motivating at all!).   The plan is to go after work today.  I will do it.  Just could not do it early today.  Would skip it all together, but I need to take Sunday off from exercise as I will be prepping for a medical procedure.

Just disappointed with myself right now.  Must be stronger.

In a perfect world, we would all be able to get up and do it. The fact is that there are days that you just don't have it. What you have to be careful of it becomming a habbit. One day is no big deal. If it persists you may have to re-evaluate and see why its not working and change some things up. For today, go after work and knock it out!

No shame in that. Just don't make a habit of it and all will be good.

Feel your pain A. I let my worrying over my knees giving out on me keep me from my jog/walk program.

It's of course the old lazy habits I still have that are defeating me. But, I work EVERY day to push through them and keep myself active and going. It's a day to day, even hour to hour battle some times. Every day I get a fresh start and make it the best damn day I can!

Best wishes and good luck on your upcoming medical issue!!

I know what you mean about your knees.  I was so fortunate that even though I weighed almost 300 pounds and was almost 50 when I was banded, my knees and back were and are still in good shape.  I LUV them and protect them like a baby.  That being said, I'm in week 2 of C25K, and they are fine. Still weigh 200 pounds, and I'm still 50 dag nabit! I just have to persist with the strength to keep those knees in shape.

I'm repeating week 2 of the C25K this week as well. hehe

The great people on here suggested some stretching exercises and Jillian Micheal's had some knee strengthing moves that I have been doing.

I just figure the quicker I can get this weight off, the better I will be.

I hope everything goes great for you with your procedure! Keeping you in my prayers!

Just don't let it turn into that same slippery slope that a lot of us had with dieting in our past.
You slack or blow it or have one bad day, so you gorge yourself or you give up.
1 time is not a failure, look at all the times you went, each of them is a success.  Don't let 1 bad day define you.

So you feel bad, what are you going to do about it?  The choice is yours.  You can make the effort even when  you don't feel like it.  I bet if you did/do, then you are going to find that you feel great when that workout is over.  Working out and accomplishing something really is a great mood altering experience.

Good luck and get back in ther and kick some ass.

Did not get the strength training in, but got up and did W2D3 of c25K today.  I'll get the strength in tomorrow.  The rest of today I'm gardening - cleaning flower beds.  Must forgive myself and move on.
