Hello Everyone!
I am running my first half marathon on Sunday! I am so excited. I can't wait to go to the expo on Saturday. I feel like I have trained well and up for the challenge. It is called America's Run. It will begin and end at the Dallas Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas so my last lap I will be put on the infamously huge big screen! Got to go hard on that one! So any of you who are familiar with half marathons if you have some last minute pointers to give me they would be greatly appreciated! I will definately give you a report next week!

Thanks,
Lisa

Have fun,
Watch out for starting too fast.  It is easy to get caught up in the initial surge of the race start and run faster than you are accustomed too.  This can lead to a longer harder day than you expected.

Remember to say thank you to the volunteers at the water and aid stations.

just run your race and have fun!  the hard part is over (training), now is the time to cash in your check.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

Thanks! Should I get in another small run (1-5 miles) on Friday? Or save it all for Sunday?

it really depends on you and your taper.  do you need it physically?  no.  mentally?  sometimes.  i wouldn't if you are nursing sore legs or have a slight injury.  if you do, make it a really really really really really easy jog (really) no more than 30 minutes.  it is all mental at this point.
