freaking pissed and down in the dumps
Definately sucks! Hopefully you will be healed enough to swim by race time. In the event you aren't, is there a way to switch it up to a relay? Just a thought.
Hugs (but not too hard...wouldn't want to hurt already broken bone!),

Every morning in Africa , a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

it's a bummer man, i have at least one setback or injury for EVERY one of my major races... so i definitely understand your frustration. now i'm dealing with two, the bike crash and an IT band issue with my other knee (go figure). however, i don't have a broken bone like you, i would definitely cross train where you can but try to heal up so you don't cause any long-term issues...
Where are we going?? And why am I in this handbasket??
right now. somewhere. somebody is working harder than you.
