Hello my wonderful OH friends!

I am 18 months post op from RnY and I am struggling to get off my last 40-45 lbs.  I am looking for a program to learn 'how to run'.  My goal is to start off slowly and steadily get the rest of these pounds off, while also making sure to keep my overall health and vitamin intake better.  Any programs or simple ideas to learn how to run?  I was going to the gym regularly and jogging short distances..and then my work schedule changed and you know how that goes.

I have been to see my surgeon and nutritionist and I was told that starting a running program will definitely trick my body and restart my weight loss. My tummy still works fine and I still feel restriction.  I plan on starting fresh this Thursday (April 1) and logging food intake (I'm giving up beef and pork) and working out at least 60 minutes per day.  As a gift, I'm getting myself a Wi-Fit which I've heard is an excellent supplemental work out tool.  Anyone with ideas please reply to this, inbox me, or send me an email to [email protected]!

THANKS!!

I totally second the couch to 5K program.  I started it last August after being challenged to run a 5K with my brother-in-law.  It really got me motivated and off to a great start.  After 8 weeks I successfully completed a 5K race!

I'm now preparing to run a 10 Mile race next weekend.

If you need motivation, I suggest you sign up for a 5K sometime in the next few months and get started on the program!

Good luck!!
