Couch to 5k

I am about to start, but questions.  I am currently burning about 725 calories 5 days a week either with combo treadmill/elliptical or with 5.5 mile walk.  Can I keep up that cardio in the off days between the Couch to 5k program?  I've been doing some very light strength training, but really not a regular program.  I have lost 84 pounds since banding on September 1, and it is getting harder to move the weight.  Got about 60 more to go.  So burning calories is still my primary goal, and I rewally don't want to have too many off days.

Thanks,

Anne

Yes you can.
I recommend you have at least 1 off day a week for rest and recovery.
Don't try to work the same muscle group back to back.
I would get your cardio on the elliptical or a bike for your off day cardio.
Too much running too quickly and you are inviting injuries.

Good luck and crush that couch to 5k program, It really works.

I'm on the C25K program as well. I alternate days of the program with DvD and weight training. Each night I still walk my dog too.

Good for you sweety and look forward to reading how you do!!
Best wishes and blessing prayers to you!
