i'll post a race report later but the highlights are i finished the 26.2 miles according to my Garmin in 4:23, official chip time was 4:27 but my garmin (and a couple of other guys who had them at the finish line) had the race distance around 26.6 miles.  My legs are shattered after a very hilly course, but there is a smile on my face.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

So cool!

How long did it take you to build up to the point where you could even think about doing a marathon or even a half?

Again, way to kick the pig!

i was just reflecting about this yesterday before the race.  it was one year ago this week when i put together my FIRST one mile jog post-op without walking (i was around 5 months post op).  i am 17 months post-op now.  i first considered a half in the fall, i ran it on turkey day, then decided soon after that that i would pull the trigger on the full.

WAY TO GO BILL!  What a great time!  Hopefully after a few rest days your legs will have recovered! Nice Job!!!
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
