DIZZY
As I have ramped up my workouts lately I have noticed I am lightheaded/dizzy a lot. Is this something you guys deal with as well. I am sweating a lot during my workouts so I have been drinking a 32oz powerade 0 plus getting at least 96oz of water. This mostly happens when I first stand up. I had labs done a few weeks ago and everything was good. Any ideas ??
No longer about weight , it's all about living.
actually, following your daily workouts, I was going to ask you what you eat on a daily basis - I mean you are burning like 2k+ cals almost everyday - are you eating to account for all that? I know for me, as a bander, I have really struggled so far after my really long runs and I am pretty sure its because I am having trouble eating more than 2k calories in a day (the other day after my 10 mile run I looked at my food log for the day at 8PM and realized I was only at about 300 net calories...)
I feel pretty good actually considering the deficit. The weightloss has slowed but I'm dropping inches like crazy. I'm trying to gain muscle more than anything. My strength has more than doubled in the last 2 months. I would like to lose 25 more pounds.

I get the dizzy feeling and have since almost day one.
Here is what the surgeon and my primary care said.
No absolute answer but they said to look at the following
hydration
Also being obese you develop additional circulatory paths to support all the extra tissue in the body.
Blood pools in those areas. You body will take time to get used to not having to support that area.
So what happens according to them is that the blood has pooled in that area and when you stand up your body doesn't react quickly enough moving that blood around, so you get light headed and dizzy.
He thought it would improve with time, and it has some what. I'm 2 years out now and it doesn't happen as frequently, but it does still happen.
It has been bad enough that it caused me to fall once and I have had to grab a wall a couple times to support myself. It tends to be more pronounced in the evening when I have been relaxing or if I have to get out of bed.
Take a look at orthostatic hypotension

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!
My first thoughts were 1) low blood pressure and then 2) dehydration

Every morning in Africa , a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
