Nate, I can't believe how much time you spend exercising!  You must be in awesome shape. I went to the pool at 6:00 and did my 30 minutes of lap swimming. Felt really strong today but didn't have time to do any more. I think I'll go 35 minutes when I go Wednesday.

I can't say I am in the best shape, I've just decided that I want to be. I have always loved the time in the weight room even at my heaviest. The cardio is a struggle but I force myself through it. I am trying to be an example to my son to get in shape b4 he heads down my path.

Dude, if you can do 90 minutes in the weight room and an hour of cardio, you ARE in good shape! They'd have to roll me out in a wheelchair if I did all that...

4.36 mile run on new neighborhood route. Pace ended up being slower than my 5K pace on Saturday. Not sure if it is due to 1) my neighborhood route being very hill 2) longest run I've attempted 3) walked for total of 1.5 minutes broke into three 30 minute segments or 4) not recovered from my 5K Saturday.

But whatever, I'm glad I upped my distance.   I really want to be able to do a 10K without any walking breaks.

*sigh* someday!

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

40 miles on the bike -- felt good

I got in a 10.25 mile bike ride before dark.  It was cold today as the temp. was 45 degrees, cloudy, and a very brisk wind.  Just an easy ride to work out the soreness in my knees and legs from yesterdays 8.25 mile run.
