My St. Patty's Day Run - kinda proud of myself!

For years, my sister has done a St. Patricks Day Dash. (Her b-day is St. Patricks Day). I've been so envious and quiety jealous. This year, she skipped the Seattle event due to a change in route, etc. ANYWAY, I signed up for the one on Bangor (sub base) with three of  my co-workers.

I set a Personal Record. Completed the 5K in 32.15 with an average pace of 10:24 (just under a 6 mph). I DID THE ENTIRE ROUTE WITHOUT WALKING A STEP!!!

Okay, there...just had to share.  Another 5K in April then my first 10K in June!

Pic after the race. I'm far left, then co-workers, Toni, Sundi, Jeni. Toni and I did the 5K the other two ladies improved their one mile run time!

Hugs,
Kathy

It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Congrats Kathy

I ran my first 5k today. The Ft Lewis St Patty's Day Run. My time was 31.21. I was so excited I almost peed my pants. Normally I run an almost 40 minute 5k. For my age group third place was 29.52, so I was not far off. Again, Congrats neighbor!

Thanks everyone, and GREAT TIME Andrea! My two previous "official" 5k's have been at 47 and 42, so today was a big improvement, and fairly consistent with my weekly 5k runs I do at home.
