Aquatard Review

Like the poster below, I have been very self-conscious about wearing a swimsuit, but I absolutely love the way I feel after lap swimming, so I've been doing it anyway. I ordered this one at swimoutlet.com:

I tried it this morning and I love it! It only comes mid-thigh (I was hoping for all the way to the knee), but I decided to try it anyway. I was afraid it would ride up, but it didn't. It is very true to size and comfortable, even flattering. I still have some thigh skin showing, obviously, but I am SO much more comfortable being seen in this than a regular tank. I'm gonna keep it, and I would high recommend these to any fitness swimmers who want a little more coverage.

I honestly thought the title of your thred "Aquatard" was going to be about the moron who asked to share my lane this weekend at the pool, then proceeded to bust out a poor excuse for butterfly stroke. What an "Aquatard"!

This is one reason I go at 6:00 a.m.! The "aquatards" don't usually swim until the evening hours.

Then there was the guy that dropped his kid off to splash around in my lane Sunday while he did his workout in the center lane.  That's a downright rude "aquatard!"  At least the kid was smarter than his father and managed to stay pretty much out of the way.

It's more like aqua crowded at my pool and I'm stuck in the middle.
The slow lanes are too slow and I end up having to wait at the wall for the person in front of me.  The fast lanes are too fast, and I end up making other people wait.
I'm having a hard time getting in a good qulity swim.

Aquatard is not very p.c.  It should be aquachallenged.  Embarrassing when I think that I'm getting in a pretty good workout and starting to have better technique and the lifeguard thinks that I'm near drowning.  Too funny!

I hear ya...the swimmers in the lanes next to me are always passing me. There was one a couple of days ago who just flew past me, lapped me, etc. I looked over underwater next time she went by and she was wearing flippers. No wonder!

I'm a pretty slow swimmer, but I'm consistent and I don't stop, so that must count for something! I went for 35 minutes this morning, which I feel is a really good workout, so I'm happy with it!

Oh, and PC, I ain't!
