hi new here
hi, my name is jill, i have been part of the site for a while but new to this board. exercise has always been the hardest thing for me, i have always been a very lazy person. a few years ago i had to have my gall bladder out in an emergency surgery, i lost a ton of weight and that motivated me to go to the gym, i went every day and dud the elliptical, light weights, etc for over an hour a day i loved it. i went from my 230's to 206. then it just stopped. my appetite started to increase again, i lost motivation for the gym so i stopped. i stayed around 206-215 then i got pregnant. the hunger exceeded anything i ever thought possible and 2 years later i was scheduling surgery at a high weight of 268. i had my surgery july 20th. 7 months out i am down to 199.8 but ive been here for a while, i know i am eating the right things, i keep a food journal, but i need to up my exercise. the hard thing for me, is i live 2 hours from my work, i leave at 6:30am get home around 6:30-7pm, cook dinner, give my son a bath and put him to bed, and with any luck i get time to work out or shower at 10ish. i started using my busy schedule as an excuse not to work out "i need me time" i would say "i just want to relax" i would say... well when the scale stopped moving i made a decision my health must come before my laziness. so ive been doing the wii fit a few times a week, and the cardio jenny mccarthy wii game that totally kicks my butt, every night for 30 minutes. i also work on the 9th floor and have been avoiding the elevator and taking the stairs. the scale still isnt moving and im sure i have to keep up pace with this routine for a little while before my body gets used to it, but i wanted to share my story and am open to any advice!

Geez, and I thought my schedule was bad. Sounds like you're doing fine to me. I know what you mean about the scale not moving, I'm in the same boat. Logically, though, we know that the exercise is good for us, so quitting is not an option. Can you walk at lunchtime in order to give yourself a little more down time when you're home? I know it's tough to get motivated after working all day, believe me. That's why I do my workouts early in the morning whenever possible.

Yeah for you! Welcome to the forum. I just found it myself and LOVE the peoplehere! They are soo wonderful!
I'd say keep doing what you are doing. It seems to fit your schedual and I know you'll get great results if you keep working it!

i have decided that ommiting a little sleep until i get a job closer to home will be worth it, so i did the jenny mccarthy 30 minutes last night... maybe im just shallow but when i first saw it i was like "yeah ok whatever just another work out video that wont do anything" but holy crap that thing kicks my ass! today im pretty sure my arms might fall off. however... ive got 30 minutes blocked out to do it again tonight.
i can walk during lunch, the only problem is, i moved my schedule around so i dont really take a break so i can catch an earlier train, but im sure i can sneak out for 20 minutes on a slow day and walk around, i work in the city so theres plenty of places but i wouldnt mind the weather being a bit nicer too lol
