Yay finally!!!
I went to my check up and he said i could start going to the gym and also start weight lifting so i was wondering so i just start out slow or is it okay to just go ahead and jump in do water aerobics, step and spin lol im ready but not sure my body is yet lol. Also weight lifting uhhhh anyone have some good times on that i have never ever done that everything else ya lol. Thanks alot!!!! Oh do i need to be careful when i left weights since i had the open surgery i have like a 15in scare down my chest and tummy :(!!!! Thanks in advance though
I too had the open RNY and was told that I could start lifting at 6 weeks out. When I got to 6 weeks I didn't feel ready and waited until 8 weeks. I still ended up with an incisonal hernia and I will attribute that to the leg press machine. If I were you, I'd do all the cardio that you want starting pretty easy and building up from there. Hold off on any lifting for at least a few more weeks. You have the rest of your life to get fit. Don't pu**** too much right now.

Stick with H20 Aerobics, Spinning, and cardio for now. I would say wait on the lifting for a bit longer IMHO...

Great advice as well. I'll heed your warning and stick to my jogging/walking program for a bit and add in DvD on my off days of my C25K once released to work out.
