Hey guys & girls

Anybody taking Glucosamine or anything like that for their joints.  Is it pouch safe?
Any other suggestions for relief of joint pain.

I am seeing P.T. next month going to get some new stretches and instructions on how to tape up for support Kinesio Tape.

Thanks

Scott

Hi Scott,

I take it daily and I was told by my dietitian that it wouldn't be a problem for my pouch. It does seem to have helped my knees a bit, but it's hard to tell some days.

Thanks,

I have read some articles that say it is effective on an individual basis, not everyone gets benefits from it.  My mother-in-law didn't think it helped her at all.

But I figured if it helped the pain at all it might be worth it.

I have been taking glucomsmine for about four years now.  No problem with the pouch.  I am not sure of the actual benefit for joint pain.  After four days I can definitely recommend the Spider Tape, but I would recommend having it applied by a professional who knows what they are doing.  Just my two cents.

Don't know about the tape.  When I have been diligent about taking glucosamine I have had good results.  No problems with my pouch so far!

I've used KT tape and Rockit Tape. I would say that Rockit Tape around my knees is a miracle worker. Putting in other areas has led to mixed results. (I'm not convinced it does that much but I can't say it does nothing.)

I'm a big believer in hyaluronic acid, which is naturally in your body, but we lose it as we get older.  It acts a natural lubricants for your joints.

I would get really sore knees after runs, but I've been taking hyaluronic acid for about a year now and i have very few runs where my knees get real sore.  I've had times where I've been off it for about a week and man I can feel a difference when I run, the soreness returns
