I was banded Jan 21, and so it's only been a few weeks. I liked to exercise before my surgery, and was up to walking a few miles 3x a week or so.
Now I am walking (fastish, still too fat for jogging, usually 4 miles or so) for around 75 minutes a day as well as biking (again, pretty hard) 45 min a day, 6 or 7 days a week. Since the banding I have lost 27 lbs, which I think is okay? I am 251 now.
But sometimes when I begin my workout, I feel kinda crampy in what I think is my port area, but it usually goes away in about 20 min. Am I hurting it? It feels creepy.
The surgeon (not my own) recommended only a mile a day for walking, but he didn't know my prior activity level. I can't tell anything from my heart rate because of blood pressure meds.
