Triathlon Training

Hey all,
I haven't been here in a while, but I am checking back in.  I have started training for my first sprint traithlon in April.  I am NERVOUS, but with God's help I have every confidence that I can do it!  I did the swimming leg last year without any problem.

Now, this question is really directed towards the ladies.  I am looking for a GOOD bra.  I have been doubling up sports bras forever for workouts, but I'd really like to find one bra that works well.

Also, looking for good hide your skin on your inner thighs/sucker inner type swim stuff.

Any suggestion?!

Junonia has some good ones - http://www.junonia.com/thumb.htm?tl=5&ldid=88&sdid=502&ddl=&RPP=11&Search=&CP=1

It's a plus size site, but they have some smaller sizes too and I can still get stuff there. A little pricey, but the quality is excellent. They also have some nice suits at that site. Everything from shorts to skirts to full one piece to the knee suits. Again, pricey, but worth it.

THANK YOU!  I had seen their site, but a personal recommendation is great!  Because it was pricey, I didn't really want to spend the $ if it wasn't worth it.  Thanks again, I greatly appreciate your input.

When I run, I use a Saucony (used to be Hind) Motion Sensor bra.  It has a criss-cross back and comes in actual bra sizes.  I also wear a compression tank with a built-in bra.  I also have a Moving Comfort running bra that I like, but I also use it under a tank.  I have yet to find a SINGLE bra that works without that little bit of added support from the tank.  I was pretty large-breasted and they're pretty much deflated these days so I have lots of trouble finding bras that work for me.

When I actually do triathlons, I have an outfit that I use.  I wear a tri bra under a tri tank that, once again, has a built-in bra.  I get the bra a size smaller than the top and that really helps keep the bounce at bay during the run.

As far as the bottoms go, I also wear tri bottoms.  You can get them in long or short lengths.  If you want to look at my profile at my photos, there is one of me finishing a triathlon in the outfit I described here.  Tri-specific clothing isn't cheap, so be sure to try things out before you use them in a race.

Linn...what size are your honkers b/c if I wear a sports bra under a tri tank w/a shelf bra my D's are still in a world of trouble.

If you got big honkers then maybe I'll try out the saucony bra-I get a sweet deal w/them.

For me I wear mostly enell-not becoming, but hold my boulders.

I generally wear a 36D and the Saucony bra does me well.  I own 3 of them.  Like I said, I still wear it under a compression tank with a shelf bra, but I do like the combination.  It also has padded cups, which helps with nipple issues too.

I have DDD girls and I LOVE my Moving Comfort sports bra.  They have several different styles and I don't remember mine in particular but it is sized by bra size and is serious motion control.  I don't have to wear anything else with it and it doesn't chafe or anything.  Best sports bra I have ever owned, I really need a new one but that's just not in the budget right now...they run around $40-$50.

Ha, this may be a post for the ladies, but I bet the guys are reading it.

Actually some of the guys are have similar issues.  But I doubt you will ever get them to buy a bra.  Maybe a bro. :-)
Compression gear seems to do a good job of keeping everything from bouncing around.

And if you have issues with your stomach bouncing, you should check this out.

it's one of those "slimmer belts"  I doesn't do squat for slimming you, but it truly does a good job of holding it all in place.  Dan recommended it to me, and I have really started to like using it.

I tried to convince a guy in my tri club to wear a sports bra to solve his nipple chaffing problem, but I was unsuccessful.

I told him I was going to make a sports bra for men and call it something else but he said men wouldn't be fooled.
