Today I am just gong to take a brisk walk through the woods for 30-45 minutes, stretch, and think about tomorrow morning - where I'll either run in my first 5k, or run 4 miles (the most I've run since getting out of the army 16 years ago...

I'm new to this board, but hoping to use it more often as I transition from being focused on losing to being focused on fitness.

This morning's workout was intervals (my favorite!)- 3 miles in about 45 minutes.  I'm working towards a five mile race in March.  I'm fine with being slow and even with walking part of it.  I just want to finish!

Great job getting started and planning on doing a race!  That's a huge step!

Last year at this time I was doing my second 5k and now I am training for my first half marathon with the goal of JUST FINISHING!  You can do it!

Congrats!

Welcome Meg.  Thanks for joining us.  I too am a huge fan of the intervals.  For some reason, it is the workout that I most look forward to.   Good luck with your race.

I had a great 3.2 mile run in the cold.  The wind was in my face on the way out making it feel like it was in the teens.  On the way back in though it was at my back.  It was about 9 min pace.

After, I hit my bi's and tri's and did some plank.  Also stretched for about 10 minutes.

I ran 10.5 out in the chill this morning. I'm running a half marathon on 2/29 and feeling much better about my ability to finish in under 2:30.
