Opinions on exercising when mildly sick?
I have a low grade fever & mucous, sore throat, cough. I also have asthma, but so long as I use my albuterol inhaler prior to exercise, it's usually no big deal - might get a little extra mucous if I push myself really hard, but that's about it.
I didn't exercise today - usually don't on Sundays, anyway. If I still have these things tomorrow, think it's best to just give myself another day of rest or is that just being wussy? I know this is ultimately my decision. My take has always been that if you realy are not feeling very good, especially if low grade fever, to just let yourself rest. Yall' seem like a savy group of exercisers . . . what's the general consensus on this? My body temp usually runs around 97.5, I run low - it's 99, which is definitely high - for me.
Thanks all~

General rule of thumb.... If the cold is above the neck, light excercise might be ok... Below the neck, no way. If you are running a fever I concur with Brian. Rest and get back at it when you are better...
