I'm running in the New Year's Eve Resolution Run - 5K at 8 p.m. tonight..........It's definitely the first time I have ever run on NYE so I am stoked!!!

The best thing is, it's just two minutes away from where the party is afterward with my family and friends, so I won't be hangin' around long!  It should be about 26 degrees and the ground will be snowy and wet.............possibly even snowing.  No big deal on this forum, right, but everyone else thinks I'm nuts!

What are YOU doing today?

I did the 3.15 that I needed to get my 80 for the month.   Not my highest month of the year but still good enough for me.

I presonally feel that running on NYE when it is snowy and wet and possibly snowing is a big deal; especially for this forum.  I think that it is just as much about where we came from and everyone here came from or is in a pretty crappy place. (being fat and pretty immobile)  Absolutely, your race is a big deal.   Go get em!!!

Thank you Scott W!!!!  I appreciate the encouragement...........with my knees and lack of access (for now) to swimming..........I'm losing fitness and really upset about it, makes me want to cry instead of cheer my way into the New Year, I needed that reminder that I've still come a long way and there's all next year hopefully I can start swimming soon and get back in true fighting shape...........

Great job, Cassie.  Amazing considering the recovery you went through.   Continue to inspire us, we need it.

I've got to work all day and am on call.  When I get off work I'll go home and clean up for our New Year's Eve party this evening so I doubt that I'll have much time to exercise today but I did want to say congrats. to Cassie and Dan for reaching the 1000 mile mark.  You guys have given me something to shoot for in 2010.

Tomorrow our WLS support group is having a run/walk at noon.  There is no preset distance but  I'd like to get in 10 miles if possible.  The high is only supposed to be 19 degrees so it will be a little chilly.  I just hope that we have a good turnout.

Also, congrats. to everyone on this forum on what they've accomplished this year.  May 2010 be full of PR's and excellent health.  Happy New Year!

Duane
