Hey Guys,

I thought it would be kind of cool to see how far, literally, we all have Swam, Rode, and or Ran. I did not have a running total and I have been spending the last couple of weeks going through all of my "Logged" workouts that I have posted here on this forum, and have finally compiled them all. I KNOW for sure there are many workouts missing from this but, I will just post what's on paper and roll with that. So, without further adeu, here are my YTD totals as of 9:30pm 12/23/09:

A TOTAL OF 272 DAYS I TRAINED INCLUDING RACES IN '09

Swimming: 356,850 Meters -or- 223.03 Miles

Cycling: 2474 Miles

Running: 932.80 Miles (I WILL hit 1,000 miles before 11:59pm 12/31/09 if it kills me)

All of this DOES NOT
include my weight training and Cross Training

WHAT ARE YOUR STATS FOR THE YEAR????

I'm not really sure, I didn't keep real good records at the beginning of the year.
My goal for next year is to average 3 miles per day running.  I don't have to run every day, but my goal is for it to average out to 3 miles per day (1095 miles)

Those are some pretty impressive stats Dan.
Congrats on all the success you have had this year.
I hope next year is just as productive for you.

Thanks buddy... It has been an incredible year for me, but for you too. I remember the day you did a 180 on your perspective and you have stuck to your plan and positive attitude ever since, and that is HUGE!!! It's crazy, but with my next 4 weeks of training, coupled with that 100 mile trail run on Feb 6th... 6 weeks from now I will have already racked up 300+ miles of running, as well as having an Ultra Marathon Feb 26th as well.... Lot's of running and swimming....(Probably 3000+ miles worth of cycling at least as well) Have a good one...

I started counting 3 days ago, I will be counting 365 days.  I'm having surgery on Monday and will be missing 2 weeks of running, swimming.  Doc said walking or elliptical only, maybe a bike if it doesn't hurt to get into a drop or aero position.

So far 3 days, 9 miles, I'm on my way.
I'll have to start tracking the swim and the cycling also.

After seeing your year, it will be a cold day in hell that I post my totals!  ;-)

Here is a pick of some of my cross training though.

Congratulations Dan,

Those are some awe-inspiring totals.  Here's what I came up with YTD for 2009:

Events
3 marathons
1 sprint triathlon
6 5Ks
1 5 mile
1 10K
1 15K

223 training days (including events)
990 miles running (will be 1,000 by end of year)
161 miles cycling
49 hours spinning
9 hours swimming

..... and a partridge in a pear tree.

Merry Christmas.

Cassie
