TM 5K PR yesterday

I went to the gym yesterday with the intention of running 3-4 miles on the TM.  I had had a few light days in a row so I decided to push the pace a bit.  I wanted to see if I were in 5K shape at 8 minute pace.  My overall PR is only at 7:50 pace so this was pushing it a bit.  After a mile my hips kept bumping the handle in front of me.  I figured that it was a pretty good indication that I should speed up.  Over the next two miles I kept bumping up the speed and finished 3.1 in 24:05 which is 12 seconds faster than my actual PR.

I realize that this does not really count but it is a huge confidence booster and shows me that I am on the right track for a spring PR.

Congrats Scott!

I'd be happy to run 1 mile at 7:50 let alone 3.  Good work!
