Sunday workouts
Today was a beautiful morning for an 8.5 mile run in Central New York. The temperature was a perfect 30 degrees with no wind. With the roads a little icy, we maintained an easy pace to soak up the beauty of the snow-covered fields and friendly conversation.

I'm planning to take my new bike out for a spin, but right now it's raining.

I'm with ya on planning for 2010. I have to sit down and make a plan instead of just deciding that I will run the night before. It will also same $ to sign up ahead of time.

So I missed the 1 hour window of no rain and sun.
But I did go out anyway. Got rained on a bit. Ran into an old friend on the trail and went out for hot chocolate with her. Then road back to her turn off and came back to my house. The whole thing took about 3 hours but only 2 of that was riding. THe rest was picking up a bottle I dropped, having hot chocolate, falling down, running into her husband and chatting a bit, etc.
It was a nice social ride of about 26.5 miles total.

The goal was 5 miles on the TM is 45 minutes. At 4 miles I just didn't have it. Ended up with 4 miles in 36:45 with .6 warm up and cool down. It was my first real workout since I started my streak so I am satisfied.
