I absolutely agree about how much more fun it is to fight 10-20 than swear every year on my birthday that I won't be the same next year.  Thanks

Hey Scott,

I've enjoyed seeing you back on the boards as a daily fixture since you and Mary were really the ones that inspired me to believe that I could run a marathon.  I think your "run at least a mile a day" is an excellent idea to avoid that "all or nothing" mentality.  Just getting out there gets the fires burning again.

Congratulations on your 4 year anniversary and thanks for continuing to inspire us!

Thanks Cassie. I'm glad to be back more consistantly since I got a new computer and I figured out the eggs causing my GI distress.  What a life change, being able to go out without the pain and run whenever the heck I want.  Thanks again.

Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

I have had relatively small slips but fear of the big slip keeps me here and heading out the door when I really don't feel like it.  Thanks.

thats fantastic. so inspiring. i never think "if they can i can" but rather "if they can do THAT, i can do THIS (my little treadmill workouts). i'll see where that goes

great story

4 Marathons? nuts!

and what is this about a "stonewall?"

It's pretty funny that I forgot the stone walls.  To me, that's more cool and impressive than the marathons.  Thanks.

Scott, congratulations you really deserve it.  I really like the idea of running at least a mile per day.  It's so easy to overdue it and to put too great of expectations on yourself.  That just leads to the all or nothing school of thought which can be very detrimental to overall success.  Some days or weeks it's just possible to do the big, long runs.  You're an inspiration to us all.
