PR
I was just too happy to keep this to myself! I did the Tawas Turkey Trot on Saturday and set a new personal record! 5K in 28:46. Not only that, but I also ran my first negative split!
mile 1: 9:33
mile 2: 9:22
mile 3: 9:28

NSV: I had to get new Army PT gear because all of my XXL stuff was too big. So, I traded it in for XL and didn't bother to try it on. Turns out that XL is STILL too big so I am now sporting size large PT gear for the first time ever!!

Thank you Kernie. A negative split is when you run a mile faster than the previous mile. It's a real accomplishment for me because I have always had a bad habit of going out WAY too hard in the first mile (8:15-8:30)  and then spending the rest of the race trying to recover from it. So, I've been working on pacing myself better and it seems to be paying off.

I couldn't believe it when I tried on the XL shirt and it was too big!! I actually had 2 size XL shirts so I tried them both on to make sure one wasn't mislabled!! LOL
