Pace Groups
my husband tried using a pace group for his first full marathon but they go at the same pace for the full 26 miles. For him, he has found starting out slower and increasing after a couple of miles works better
so, you may want to consider finding them after 5 or 6 miles when you've started out how *you* want to start
the pace leader for the group he was with did tell him he was feeling awful because in a previous race he had been off and his group finished a few minutes slower than the actual pace. They are just human after all
