There is NEVER a reason to compare yourself to ANYONE here. We all are trying our best everyday, and THAT is all that matters. Keep up the great work and congrats on a personal best!

Not really comparing, It just sounds like so little after reading what all of you are doing. Don't get me wrong however, I love, LOVE what I am doing now, and hope to eventually be where some of you guys are. I feel great about what I have accomplished so far, and look forward to doing so much more!

I agree with Dan. We are all at different stages with different goals and dreams. There are no only's around here and I would guarantee you that every mile you go is a mile more than you would have gone as a pre-op. That is awesome!
This morning I did a 4.75 mile race at 9:08 pace. I again started slowly and picked it up in the second half of the race. I have to say, that I really love passing people in the second half. I am a believer that if you want to run a PR in a shorter race, you have to go out fast and try to hang on to the pace. These end of the year runs are nice to experiment with different strategies.

Got my first run in since the marathon -- 3 miles @ 9:00/miles. In everything I've done I've felt completely recovered from the marathon UNTIL I started to run, lol! Yeah, it's still in the legs, but it still felt good to be out there.
Going to do a Thanksgiving 5k and am hoping for the low 25's, we'll see if I can get there.
