Excercise & Fitness Forum Racing Team... Hear Ye, Hear Ye...

Hey Guys,

I think it's great everyone is interested in forming a team, and Scott thanks for all you are doing. Here is what I propose...

I have a couple team names in mind. When we decide on a team name, I will design the logo, I will get racing jerzees made, I will secure a website & domain, and we can have that be our team site. Whether we get sponsor**** we should still have a team, and we can still be sources of inspiration collectively and individually. Also, I will make sure everyone gets their own email address from the donmain, like [email protected] or something like that. We can have team bios with lists of everyone's accomplishments, photos, etc...

Let me know your thoughts, and after I handle this last Ironman event tomorrow we can start putting teeth into this, and that way, we can have our potential sponsors look at our site and see all of our team members and learn about us that way.

What'd ya think?

So what should our team name be?

Um, no offense Dan, but "running from chubby" sounds like something a guy would like, but will scare away the women.

The only thing I could think of was:

Team Lean

That's a great idea Dan,
Even if we don't get a team sponsor, I'd be glad to wear a shirt or jersey with our team name on it.  It might start a conversation, give us a means to promote the success that can be had if you just try.

There are a lot of folks that donb't do tri's that will be on the team, so something involving excerices or endurance sports in general would be great. BTW.... run frm chubby was just a funny idea with no real validity behindit :) .

App submitted to Nuun, now we just have to wait and hear back.

Dan let us know what you would like for a bio.
How about before and after photos

We should probably have some template or format for the bios so they all have a cohesive look.

Of course the individual achievements etc will be different, but the data provide should be similar.
Things like
Age
general location
weight loss
that kind of thing.

Then maybe a page that lists our upcoming events where people from our team will be competing, with updates on how the race went, that type of thing.
