Wow you have racked up some mileage running.

Do you have anything planned yet for next year?

Thanks,

Scott

I guess  that I have but it does not feel like it now.  I hate training for the marathons and don't see doing any soon.  My only goal for next year thus far is placing in the top three in the clydesdale divison of the 5K at the hartford marathon.  I would also like to complete my first tri.

Wow some impressive numbers and accomplishments.
I'll leave this open through the weekend and see if we get any more interest before I put in the request to Nuun,

Heavest Weight 3098 pounds so far
Total Weight Lost 1482 pounds
Current Weight 1616

Based on what has been listed so far we have quite an impressive list of events we have been too.  That would be a lot of advertising for a sponsor and a lot of chances for us to get a good message out to people.

Still waiting for a couple answers, but so far we have a list of
18 half marathons
9 marathons
3 olympic distance triathlons
8 70.3 triathlons
1 140.6 triathlons

And those are just the big events we have listed.  That's a lot of miles
235.8 HALF MARATHON MILES
235.8 FULL MARATHON MILES
562.4 HALF IRONMAN MILES
140.6 FULL IRONMAN MILES
96 OLYMPIC DISTANCE MILES

1270.6 MILES LISTED AS MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
You guys rock

Scott

I have a question for you guys. Is this team you're putting together strictly for people who are post-op WLS?
I have tried to have WLS but was turned down by the insurance company. I may have it at some point in the future but am trying to lose on my own for now.

I can't talk for everyone else, but I think that if there is weight loss involved, and promoting a new healthy life, it's all good.
I personally don't care how anyone lost the weight, I think that just promoting that we did this and that we are now living large in a different way is what's important.

Besides there is no guarantee we will get sponsorship, but I thought it might be worth a try.

Well, I'd be interested in this if everyone else is agreeable to having a "non-op" in the mix. Sound like a pretty cool idea.

Heaviest: 278
Current:  242

2009 highlights:
Starkermann reverse tri (sprint)
Tawas Run by the Bay 5K
Tawas Triathlon Fest olympic tri

Planned for 2010:
Starkemann olympic tri
Bayshore 1/2 marathon
Timbermann 70.3
Tawas tri fest 1/2 ironman

I agree.

If we open this up to anyone who has lost weight through endurance events, do we want to include people who are not on OH? Because I know a couple in real life.

If we do open it, we should have some sort of criteria so our message doesn't get diluted.

I want to join the team, but all I have done are 5k's one 7k, one 10 so far.  I am signed up and will run a 10k this sunday, a 15k next sunday and cont training for a half maraton in Atlanta on turkey day.  and hopefully the rock n roll maraton in new orleans in feb. 28th but I have not signed up yet.

Also I was thinking and in the works for writing a book about me journey for men, so girls.  My heaviest was 410 and now I am at 200.  We should write it all together.
