hey hey
hello everybody bigman here again. havent walked in 2 days due to a bad toothache hoping to schedule an appotiment at the end of the week.but my question is for everyone that might read this message im thinking about getting a membership at a local gym here and what would anyone reccommend to start working out with basically id like to work on losing my stomach. so what type of machine shall i workout on??????????
You should work everything. You can't target fat loss so you might as well work on making everything strong. If you only target one body area, you can get muscle imbalances and that can lead to injury.
Also, you want to mix up strength training with cardio. My surgeon recommends 2 days of cardio and 2 of strength training as a minimum amount. That seems reasonable to me. Cardio burns fat nicely and the strength training helps keep lose of lean tissue to a minimum.

Unless it's like a Planet Fitness $10. a month deal I'd bag the gym membership for now.
Walking at a cardio pace is the most important thing for you now. (I see your pre-op). This will help you lose and expand your lung capacity.
Just my opinion.
