Nike Women's Marathon anyone?????

Is anyone doing the Nike event this weekend?  Last year I particpated in this event as my first half marathon ever and I got hooked (a little:-)  I will be doing this event again (this will be my 5th half in one year).  I have completed them all as a walker (with periods of running but consider myself a walker).  This next year I am going to try to incorporate more running.

Is this the one where you get the Tiffany necklace instead of a medal?? 

YES!!!! That is one of the reasons I like this event.  There are San Francisco Fire Fighters dressed in Tuxedos handing out the little blue boxes on silver platters:-)  Each year the necklace is different and I can't wait to see the design this year.  The Theme is "Run Like A Gilr" and it is very female centered.  The finisher shirts are in a woman's cut so you can actually wear the shirt:-)

It is a very popular race that the only way to get in is through a lottery or by raising money through Team in Training (Leukemia and Lymphoma Society).  I particpated with TNT last year and this year I am doing it as a lottery entrance.

You can sign up on the Nike web site and they will send you a reminder of when to enter the lottery.
