Saturday workouts
Saturday is my long run day. i got in late last night from our great win last night, so i got a later start than usual. We had quite a bit of rain yesterday so temperatures were not bad at all at 8:30 am.
I ran 7.o miles at an average pace of 10:35. My long run pace is supposed to be at 10:40 so I was really happy with this. It is funny how my friends and family are amazed at how far that is when in reality, it is just slightly over 1/4 of my January marathon.
What did you all do?

Hey Darrell,
I did my first ride since Ironman today... 35 miles at 20mph pace.... Got to start gearing up in the middle of next week for Augusta , GA 70.3 IM at the end of September . I am going to race FAST in this one. It's the inagural event there, I am in good shape, I am racing as a clydesdale, and it would be nice to win some hardware. SO... I am going to throw it out there with this.... Swim time.... 32:00 minutes, ride time 2:30 @ 21MPH average, run time 1:50 for the half marathon... total time w/ 8 minutes allowed for transitions = Sub 5 hours... I am going to shoot for the stars on this one! Have a great weekend... no workout tomorrow and a small little sprint tri on Monday for me on Labor day....

I swam 1.2 miles and then ran for 90 min. Due to some strangeness on my run, I only got in about 6.5 miles instead of the 8 I was aiming for. Ugh.
