Sore large group muscles???
OK, all you exercise people out there that have more experience and training, I have a question for you:
I'm dealing with sore, tired, achey muscles of my upper arms, thighs, and both flanks. At first I didn't even connect the flank with my acheyness--thought it was a kidney infection-but the doc says no infection. And my urine specific gravity was ok.
I have a marginal ulcer and am taking carafate which basically takes 2 1/2 hours 3 times a day of non-liquids (1/2 hour before, an hour after before I can eat, than an hour till I drink). So I'm having difficulty with getting more than 40-50 oz of fluids in a day.
When the sore tired achey happens, all I want to do is sleep--that sets me up for not drinking again. Am I dehydrated on those days? Does that make sense to anyone? Could it be the cause of why I'm feeling so bad?
I have at least 3 more weeks on the carafate before I can be tested to see if the ulcer is gone and these days seem to be stacking up. Used to happen once a week, now it seems to be happening every 2 or 3 days.

So the soreness is NOT associated with excercise?

Nope, I actually have been bad this week and not run until today. I work as a paramedic and have been on a weird swing shift of 12 hours that just screwed up my schedule for running or really anything. But even when I was running more regularly last week, it might be a day after my 24 hour shift- and I don't run at work in long pants that are dark.
One day it happened after I'd taken a boat ride with my father the day before, no exercise there either.
I'm feeling rather ichy today, but decided to see if I ran if it would go away, it didn't, not a lot worse after, so I don't know.
Thanks for any input u might have.
