Monday's workout!!!
Lousy month for me as I got in only my 3rd run all month,... but I got a 4.2 miler in after work at 13 min a mile. And recommitting for Sept.
Work ratched up a notch the last month but seems to have leveled off for the momment and I have gotten into football officiating training up to my eyeballs.
What I have learned is that if I don't take the time to exercise I allow myself to go back to the putting everything else first, in front of my own personal health; an old pre-op habit I don't want to return to or perpetuate.
Besides the officiating requires enough hustling from point to point over a two hour period, the ones that exercise regularly really shows up during a game. I have also found my energy level reduced when I don't get my runs in. Sounds backwards but interestingly true none-the-less.
Thanks to the folks that post regularly and the accountability like this daily workout reports. They help me alot and bet they do others also.
We just need the guts to fess up even if we aren't runinng 8 min miles and doing Ironmans. And those that are, we all need to remember they each worked their way to that level from getting started, just like us, and we are all somewhere on along the path of progression. I applaud accomplishment and look to each of them as motivation to keep myself working and getting healthier and staying fit and lean(er).
