Today, I did 1.5 hours of rock wall building.  I count that as core work and upper body work.  Not much in the cardio dept.  Looking forward to tomorrow as I get back into the swing of mile repeats.  I think I will do 4 at 9 minute pace.  (which really means 3 and a half at 8:15 pace) :)

What did you do on this wonderful Monday???

OMG--your arms must be sore! Good for you on the pacing--I'm nowhere near there yet!

Today I did 6 miles at a 10 minute pace on the treadmill at the gym, which was BORING.

I really prefer actual running on the roads, despite the hills. At least outdoors, you get a breeze, and a change of scenery! Geez. I will only resort to treadmilling again in the worst of weather. Plus I hate the gigantic wall-sized Mirror of Shame that reminds me of every ounce of loose skin I have, when I glance over!

I did 5 miles walk/run with a pace of 14 minutes per mile which will put me under the time limit for our half marathon and I did 15 miles on my mountain bike.  I wanted to do 30 miles but my hands got so numb I couldn't feel my shifters and my back derailer started skipping gears.  I'll probably do another 5 miles run/walk with my wife when she gets home.

I was totally supposed to do a 40 minute run this morning but opted to go back to sleep instead.  This is the first time I have done that in a REALLY long time but doesn't matter as much at the beginning of the week because I can just shift my run days to T, Th, Sat instead.  I will go swim a mile after work today.

Today is a rest day for me.  Now that the mileage is really piling on, I really need the rest days.  I've been sneaking in short naps on the weekends after the long runs.

Weight training (arms) and finally did a 15 minute mile.  I was so proud of myself.  I had to cut the second mile short because my stomach got sick... but I am one step closer to my 3 mile in 45 minute goal.  I will try again on Wednesday.  Tuesday is usually a rest day for me but they added another Zumba class on Tuesday nights so I may go.  I love Zumba.

I really want to get my wife into a Zumba class.  I think that she'd love it.

45 minutes of weights (shoulders, back, bicep), 33 minutes on the stationary bike, 35 minutes on the stairmaster, and 30 minutes in the pool (1200 meters)...
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

School started up for me again today so I was doing good to get up and get in 4 miles in time to find a parking spot on campus.  Good 4 though.

Today was a recovery run of 5 miles. Sunday was my long run of 12 miles and today I was just a little sore. Once I got warmed up and running though it all felt good.
