We did 5 miles at the trail doing a mixture of walking and running and then went to the gym.  I got in a pretty intense full upper body workout.  Later this evening I'd like to take our dogs back to the trail for a 3.5 to 5 mile walk.  How did you guys do?

We did a 12 mile run this morning.  I have to admit, I am so ready for fall!!  My running times are horrible, but I know that it is due to the heat and humidity.  I have to just keep plugging away, and hope that my times improve as the weather gets cooler, and less humid.

Wowsers! 12 miles! My longest run is 7 miles, so far. Way to go!

Today was a rest day for me, so I am enjoying a crisp, pre-autumn day with a temp of 64 and a cool breeze. Ah, I love the Pacific Northwest!

My plan for next week is to do a 6-mile run for each of my 5 days, making it a total of 30 miles for the week. It will be a 10% increase over last week's distance, and my challenge will be finding good routes that don't bore the heck out of me.

Today, I enjoyed a great social run with a group that I often run with Sunday mornings.   The first 10 miles, we ran at a conversational pace.   Then I did fast quarter mile intervals with my running partner for 3 miles.  Tacking on short intervals or mile-long repeats at the end of a long run has really helped us with overall endurance.  I expect that the training strategy will serve us well next month when we run our marathon.

I watched Tiger Woods walk 5 miles today.  Hell of a Sunday workout.  Very hot and humid today. Stayed in the AC today.

I forgot that normal people do long runs on weekends.  I did 3.1 at a nice clip this morning.  Tomorrow is off then tuesday I will hit the mile repeats again.  Great stuff.

The weather has been odd in New England this year.  First it was the rain but the temps were nice.  Then we did have out two weeks of hot and humid but overall I would say that it wouldd have been a good year for marathon training.  Here is too a warm winter!

Long run today, 12 miles, averaged 9:44 over all, which is right where I want to be. I have to constantly watch my gps to try to keep my time down. I seem to be all over the place.
