TGIF everyone!

Trying to do shorter workouts this week, I did a 5k run followed by 500 yd swim.  Figured I better get at least one swim in this week since the next race is tomorrow.  It went fine though.

Heats were posted last night, and I'm glad I don't have to start until 11:30 am.  I just noticed that I'm in a 20-minute heat.  The pressure's on to complete the swim in 18!  Should be able to do it since I did the 500 this morning in 13 AFTER running...

I did week 1 of the c25k training program and a complete body workout in the gym.

I run for those who can't or won't.  I run because I once was one of those people.

Duane - The c25k is a good program -- if you can - try and do it outdoors because running outside is much different than running on the treadmill.  Inside on the treadmill - I can run at least 30 minutes now.  But outside I struggle.

Linn - good luck on the race tomorrow!

As for me - I walked for 70 minutes tonight - a little over 4 miles.

Good job, everyone! I ran four miles in hilly terrain today--I could definitely feel the difference in my poor calves!
