Bad News Bean Fans

No sports beans they were completely sold out of the bulk beans.  They did have cases of the retail packages, 24 packs for $12.00, which is a great deal when you compare to the retail pricing, but is weak when compared to the bulk purchase.

So it is going to be hit or miss.  I think we are headed back that way next week to see some family so we will stop on the way by just in case they got some in.

Now on to my rant.
How can a business justify hiring people who have no concept or grasp of the language.
Yeah I'm sure they hire what they can get, and they pay crap, but it's terrible customer service.

Me >Do you have sport beans flops?
Teen #1 > blank look
Me> You know the belly flops the seconds for the sports beans?
Teena #1 > Uhhh I don't know if we carry those, the regular belly flops are out on the main floor.
Me> You carry them, I have bought them here before.
Teen #1> Asks teen #2 & Teen #3 do we carry those.
Teen #2> Yeah we are out.  We get them in every couple weeks.
Me> O.K. any idea when you will get some more?  Did you run out yesterday?  Is tomorrow the 2 week delivery, or is it 2 weeks from now?
Teen #2> If possible produces an even blanker look than teen #1 had earlier.
Me> O.K. is it possible for me to call and find out if you have them in stock?  I live over an hour away and it would be nice not to drive over here if you don't have any in stock.
Teen #2>I don't know if we have a phone here.
Teen #1 holds up phone.
Me > Could you give me the number so I can call?
Teen #1, #2, #3 Blank looks, nobody knows the number.
Me > walk away and go get my son some jelly beans from their retail store for the movies this afternoon.

Ah, that feels much better.

One question I asked a person who was as compitent as the ones you dealt with was this:

me: Do you know how many muscles it takes in your face to smile?"

her: "No"???

me: About 300 or so....

her: "We have that many muscles in our face?"

me: Do you know how many muscles it takes in your face to stand there with that stupid look on it???

LOL.... Was many years ago when I was not as nice and polite as I am today.....

 That's great Dan!!!!!!  I've got a great repore with my students but I'm gonna have to start using that line!!!!!!!  Only a band teacher can get away saying those things to kids (well a coach can too I guess)
