Weight training is very important. Yes it's true that muscle ways 2 x's more than fat, but it also helps burn fat twice as fast than without it. The scale may not move if you are looking to bulk, however the inches will peel off, which probably matters more than what the scale says. Good luck bro, and great job so far...

Yes.
Muscle loss is a very real problem. I did all cardio for several months, and when I finally decided to do some strength training, I had lost a ton of upper body strength. I am still struggling to get it back.
Yeah muscle weighs more, but on the up side, muscle burns calories just being there. lean muscle mass is your friend. I would recommend lifting. They don't have to be heavy weight, just something to keep you toned and slow down any potential muscle loss.

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!
I'm a believer in strength training during wl. We need strong muscles and good muscle tone so I do aerobics and strength daily. Also, the extra skin I've got hanging around would look twice as bad were I not muscular.

V'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
Definitely. I take a toning class 2 times a week and it's made a huge difference. I also do weights/machines when I get a chance. It's very important to build those muscles!
Good luck!
