Early stage exercising?

I had my RnY on 6/17/09 and my doctor told me I don't have any lifting restrictions (just as tolerated). I'm thinking its probably still too early for me to lift some major weights (not that I could anyway), but I wondered what I could do for exercise at this point, other than walking?  I've been dancing a little bit.  Should I try more calestenics, like situps, etc?

Best suggestion for early out is continue to walk.  Take a walk for 30+ minutes every day, as briskly as you can tolerate, and make it a part of your daily routine.  The people with the best success long term are those who become regular exercisers.  That doesn't mean you need to become an athlete or compete in races, it just means staying active doing things you enjoy.

Congratulations and I wish you a successful journey.
