Anyone from Washington D.C.(or visited)??

Scheduling a weekend trip to Washington D.C. next weekend with the family, and was wondering what kind of bike trails might be in the area. I agreed to the trip ONLY if I could bring my bike and continue training in the mornings before every awoke.

Any information would be appreicated

 i think the C&O canal is pretty cool and terminates in the DC area... check it out online...
