Shingles

Any of you guys had a bout with shingles?
I've got it and it sucks!!!

I was wondering how long I would be out.  Luckily I don't have anything scheduled until October.

I had shingles 3 years ago.  It was so painful.  I couldn't stand my clothes touching me.  Took a few weeks to get better.  I went to Dr office right away and they put me on Valtrex which helped.  Hope you get better soon.

You may also want to ask about the vaccine once you've recovered.  It may help with future recurrences.

so sorry Darrell, did you get into the doc in time to get the pill? seems like you had so many hours at the onset cause it might decrease future residual pain. if not, run there, now!

i had them 2 years ago and wore an ice pack on my back for at least a week. it hurts. i'm so sorry
